NOTICE OF CORPORATE MERGER
On September 29, 2009, Atlas Energy Resources, LLC (“ATN”) completed a merger whereby it became a wholly-owned subsidiary of its parent company, Atlas America, Inc. In conjunction with the merger, all ATN unitholders received 1.16 shares of ATLS stock for each ATN unit owned. Atlas America, Inc. has changed its name to Atlas Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATLS) and continues to trade on the NASDAQ under Atlas America’s ticker symbol, “ATLS”. Atlas Energy, Inc. will continue to be one of the leading natural gas production companies in Appalachia and Michigan, as well as one of the leading producers in the Marcellus Shale in southwestern Pennsylvania.
